My first Tarot post on my new blog

I just created this blog and am having a hard time figuring out this software. I wanted to post a photo of my Tarot table in the post but it seems the only way to include a photo is to link to a url site; but for some strange reason, I could upload the photo as my permanent photo on the opening page. So instead of a photo of myself on my home page, you can see the photo of my Tarot table.

Spoke too soon – just as I was ready to post this first blog message, something popped up on the right giving me the option to post a featured image, and sure enough I was able to upload a photo of my tarot table, albeit, cropped by the software, not me!

My Tarot Journey has just begun. Years ago I bought a Rider-Waite deck and tried it a few times, but in those years I was very heavily into meditation, yoga and my formal spiritual classes, and never fully explored it. Recently, and because of my age (I’ll be 79 in a couple of months), this well used body has some limits to the amount and type of work I can do in my garden, or the pottery I loved and worked at for 40 years. So it was time to find something new that would benefit my spiritual path and help me exercise these old brain cells.

I will start a You Tube page with the name “June’s Tarot Journey” and post video of my early attempts are learning this ancient art.

I’ve spent the last month watching a lot of You Tube videos (there are some wonderful psychic and other Tarot readers on there), and reading review of tarot decks before I decided to buy some other decks. I probably overbought for a newbie but there are so many beautiful decks; and since I canceled my local, morning newspaper, I used that saed money to indulge myself with some beautiful decks and a few books.

It’s only been the past couple of days that I’ve already practiced doing some spreads; and it’s painstakingly long since I’m not very family with all of the cards. But I’ve spent this past month making and printing a lot of keyword charts and information to use as a quick learning and reference guide when trying to read the cards.

If I can find a way to post a photo from my computer to this site, I will post some of my beginner spreads and how I’ve read them, in the hope that experienced Tarot readers will give me their input.
